Microsoft launches a new version of Planner application: integrating To Do and classic Planner functions

CTOnews.com November 16, Microsoft "Planner" is a lightweight, mobile, and Web-based application for most Office 365s that enterprises subscribe to.

Microsoft officially launched a new version of Planner application on Ignite 2023, which integrates To Do and classic Planner, and claims to integrate the convenience of To Do, the cooperation of Planner, the powerful function of Project for web and the intelligence of Microsoft Copilot.

It is said that the new Planner service will also be seamlessly integrated with Teams and will be a team and personal tool for viewing all plans and tasks.

According to reports, it helps you find the tasks you need when you need them, and provides a simple, familiar experience to manage all tasks, to-dos, plans and projects in the Microsoft 365 application.

Launch date of the new Planner attached to CTOnews.com: November 2023: the Planner task and to-do application in Teams has been renamed Planner.

Spring 2024: the new Planner application in Teams will be fully launched. The Microsoft Project web version will be renamed Planner.

Later in 2024: the Web experience for the new Planner will be widely available. The features you know and love in the Microsoft Project web version will be available in the new Planner and Planner Web applications in Teams.
