CTOnews.com, November 16, an AMD mobile processor codenamed "100-000001319-50 8940HS" has appeared on Geekbench and is expected to be R9 7940HS Refresh. According to AMD's naming rules, the model is expected to be R9 8940HS.

In terms of parameters, R9 8940HS is basically the same as R9 7940HS, 8 cores and 16 threads, 16MB three-level cache, 5.2GHz frequency.

In terms of running points, R9 8940HS scored 2596 in single core and 13258 in polynucleus. CTOnews.com search found that the running score of the R9 8940HS was higher than that of most R9 7940HS models on Geekbench.

According to previous revelations, the AMD 8040 series vest APU will be released on CES in January next year, including desktop models.
