Sources say that the former OpenAI CEO plans to launch a new AI enterprise, and the former president is expected to join it.

CTOnews.com November 19, according to The Information, former OpenAI CEO Sam Altman (Sam Altman) told investors that he plans to launch a new AI business.

Greg Brockman, former president and co-founder of OpenAI, is expected to join the company, sources said. The project is still under development and the exact nature of the joint venture is unclear.

CTOnews.com noted that there had been reports that Altman and Jony Ive, a former Apple design director, were discussing building a new AI hardware device, and Softbank Corp. CEO Masayoshi son was also involved in the conversation.

In recent months, Altman has put forward many ideas for new projects to investors and other outsiders. Altman met with potential investors from the Middle East last month to talk about AI-related projects, including a plan to develop custom chips for AI to compete with Nvidia, according to four people familiar with the matter.
