Meta bet on generative AI business and has now split its Responsible AI team

A spokesman for Meta said that most of the team members responsible for artificial intelligence will move to the field of generative artificial intelligence and will continue to support Meta's cross-departmental work on responsible development and use of artificial intelligence; other members will move to artificial intelligence infrastructure. He points out that the company intends to bring these employees closer to the development of core products and technologies.

"We continue to prioritize and invest in secure and responsible artificial intelligence development, and these changes will enable us to better scale to meet future needs."

Last October, the social media giant began launching generative artificial intelligence tools that create content such as image backgrounds and written text for all advertisers.

Currently, Meta's artificial intelligence products include its large language model "Llama 2" and a chat robot called Meta AI, which can respond to text. And generate a "photorealistic" image.
