CTOnews.com, Nov. 19 (Xinhua)-- Jason Kwon, chief strategy officer of OpenAI, told employees in a memo on Saturday night local time that OpenAI was "optimistic" that former CEO Sam Altman, former president Greg Brockmann and other key employees who had left the company could be brought back to the company, according to The Information.

Jason Quan further revealed that OpenAI executives will give an update on the situation in the middle of tomorrow morning local time.

Earlier today, Beijing time, it was reported that Microsoft CEO Nadella had talked to Altman to ensure that he could return to work at OpenAI on Monday local time, and that the OpenAI board was discussing with Altman about returning to CEO.

According to Bloomberg, OpenAI investors are pressing the board to rescind its decision to fire Altman CEO and dismiss him as a director, according to people familiar with the matter.

However, Altman told investors that he planned to launch a new AI company, and Greg Brockmann was expected to join. The project is still under development and the exact nature of the joint venture is not clear.

As for Altman's next step is to return to the old club or set up another door, there is no more definite news, CTOnews.com will continue to pay attention.
