Nokia is filing a patent lawsuit against OPPO, requiring it to comply with the FRAND fee terms.

CTOnews.com November 20 news, according to foreign media IAM reported that Nokia recently filed a lawsuit against OPPO in the High Court of Delhi, India.

Nokia is understood to have sought an injunction to prevent OPPO from selling its patent infringing products in the country and asked OPPO to comply with Nokia's FRAND clause (CTOnews.com note: FRAND clause is fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory clause, mainly used in anti-price war).

OPPO has refuted a series of patent infringement lawsuits by Nokia, but the Delhi High Court rejected OPPO's appeal in a recent ruling, allowing Nokia to continue its lawsuit against OPPO.

In addition, the court allowed Nokia to set global FRAND rates for its communications patents, which will apply to all OPPO products worldwide. It is said that "FRAND rates can avoid a series of litigation problems such as e-commerce and patents due to different prices in different countries."
