CTOnews.com November 20 news, according to South Korean media The Elec reported that Samsung plans to release the flagship smartphone Galaxy S24 series in San Jose, California, USA on January 17,2024 (local time), which is one month earlier than Samsung's usual release time. The report also revealed more details such as the booking date and delivery date of the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung will reportedly launch the Galaxy S24 series on January 17, 2024 in San Jose, California. Samsung usually holds Galaxy Unpacked launch events in New York, but this Galaxy Unpacked 2024 launch event chose to be held in Apple's backyard.

The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 + and Galaxy S24 Ultra can be pre-ordered on January 18, with pre-ordered devices arriving from January 26 to January 30, while others can buy Galaxy S24 from January 30, 2024, the report said.

While pricing for the Galaxy S24 series has yet to be announced, it is expected that the new model will remain similar to the Galaxy S23 series. That means the Galaxy S24 could start at $900, while the Galaxy S24 + and Galaxy S24 Ultra could start at $1000 and $1200, respectively.

CTOnews.com notes that Sammobile reported a few months ago that the Galaxy S24 would be Samsung's first AI phone, featuring AI features developed by the company itself. The company may also rename Bixby Galaxy AI, and has already announced its first AI feature: real-time speech transcription while on a call.

Samsung considered San Francisco or Seoul, South Korea as the launch venue for the Galaxy S24, but decided to hold it in San Jose due to close cooperation with Google and competition with Apple. The company moved up the Galaxy S24 launch by two weeks to boost first-quarter revenue.
