CTOnews.com, November 21, according to the China Aerospace News, the 2023 China Satellite Application Conference with the theme of "Digital Transformation enabling Satellite Application Industry" was held in Beijing recently. according to the news at the meeting, the aerospace science and technology group China Satcom has initially completed the first high-orbit satellite Internet covering the whole territory of our country and key areas along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route, which is expected to be at the end of the 14th five-year Plan. The total capacity of high-throughput satellites will exceed that of 500Gbps.

CTOnews.com previously reported that China's first high-throughput satellite, Zhongxing 26, with a capacity of more than 100 Gbps, was launched on February 23, mainly for providing high-speed broadband access services for fixed terminals and vehicle / ship / airborne terminals.

Zhongxing 26 satellite is developed by the Fifth Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology Group, using the self-developed Dongfanghong 4 enhanced satellite platform, which is expected to be located at 125 degrees east longitude and equipped with Ka band load, mainly covering the whole of China and the surrounding areas.
