McDonald's installed 150 kilowatt charging piles in half of its stores in France at the same time.

CTOnews.com, November 21, local time, McDonald's France and France Electric Power charging Services subsidiary Izivia issued a statement that the two sides will launch electric car charging stations in McDonald's restaurants in France. According to the agreement, by 2025, the charging network will cover the parking lots of more than 700 French McDonald's restaurants (nearly half of all French stores).

Unlike many hotels or supermarket chains that have installed slow charging piles, McDonald's will install 150 kilowatt fast charging piles. These charging posts can charge 80% of the electricity of a high-performance electric car in 20 minutes, allowing the owner to have a cup of coffee or dinner. In addition, officials say charging fees will be "attractive".

CTOnews.com notes that more than 110000 public charging piles have been installed in France, four times as many as four years ago, according to the French Automobile electrification Association (Avere). However, only 10% of charging piles in France are fast charging piles (more than 150 kilowatts), mainly in the service area of highways.

McDonald's has already begun installing charging piles in parking lots in many other countries, such as Italy, Britain and Sweden.
