Sunbird also announced today that it will be "temporarily shutting down" its own Sunbird chat app, which the company has claimed to update further until it is "ready."

Google Sunbird previously claimed that the company logged in to the user's iMessage account (Apple ID) through the macOS virtual machine to send and receive iMessage messages. Users must log in with their Apple ID in the Sunbird app to start sending messages.
