High score: iFixit compares the disassembly of OLED version of Steam Deck and Lenovo Savior handset

CTOnews.com November 23 news, foreign maintenance team iFixit in the latest video, comparing the disassembly of Lenovo Rescue handset Legion GO and Valve OLED version of Steam Deck, both gave high scores in terms of maintainability.

After comparison and disassembly, iFixit believes that the above two game handsets perform well in terms of repairable. Under the scoring mechanism of 10 out of 10, the OLED version of Steam Deck scored 9 and Lenovo Savior scored 8.

After dismantling the two handsets, iFixit said that if players encounter problems in their daily use, they can basically buy relevant parts and replace them according to the maintenance guide.

A small detail to note here is the metal frame and stud of the new Steam Deck. Valve has switched to metal in the new version to reduce thread peeling when the rear cover is put back on.

The Lenovo Rescue handset uses a pull piece to remove the battery, and the user can remove the battery without a hot air gun or pry piece.

CTOnews.com Note: the video is from iFixit, translated into Chinese by KG-Area21 embedded machine, and uploaded to bilibili iFixit. The conclusion is that although Steam Deck OLED's battery is glued, it is easier to repair than Legion Go, but both game consoles look well-designed and relatively easy to maintain.
