CTOnews.com, Nov. 25 (Reuters)-the conflict between the Swedish trade union and Tesla is heating up, and a key parts supplier has joined the negotiations, asking Tesla to sign a collective bargaining agreement for its Swedish workers.

IF Metall, Sweden's largest manufacturing union, said about 50 workers who make Tesla parts from Hydro Extrusions, a subsidiary of Norwegian aluminum and energy company Hydro, will stay at home or take on other tasks from Friday until further notice.

"they supply parts to Tesla's factory in Berlin and if this interferes with them, we want to force them back to the negotiating table," said Veli-Pekka Saikkala, negotiation secretary at IF Metall, the only parts supplier in Europe.

IF Metall is fighting with Tesla to reach a collective bargaining agreement for its Swedish maintenance workers. On October 27, Metall launched a maintenance strike and refused to provide services for Tesla's car.

Since then, other union members have joined the ranks of maintenance workers, such as postal workers, docks, cleaners and others who refuse to use Tesla or his products.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Swedish longshoremen had stopped unloading all deliveries of Tesla. The Dockers do not work directly for Tesla, but control the entry of electric vehicles into Sweden's four main ports.
