Broadcom will review strategic options for two VMware departments
CTOnews.com, Nov. 30, according to an email sent to employees by Chen Fuyang, CEO of Insider, Broadcom, the company is preparing to review the strategic options of its two business units after completing the acquisition of VMware.
With approval from Chinese regulators, Broadcom completed its $69 billion acquisition of the cloud computing company on November 22. (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 492.66 billion yuan).
It is said that the units under review are end-user Computing (End-User Computing) and Environmental Protection Department (Carbon Black).
Insider said VMware will continue to operate as four divisions-Cloud Foundation, Tanzu, software definition edge and application networking and security-and its boss, Raghu Raghuram, will serve as a technical adviser to CEO Tan.
