CTOnews.com, December 1 (Xinhua)-- Broadcom will cut about 1300 jobs in California after completing its acquisition of VMware, Bloomberg reported.

Broadcom will also review strategic options for VMware's two business units, including end-user computing (End-User Computing) and environmental protection (Carbon Black), according to a report by Insider on Wednesday.

Insider said VMware will continue to operate as four divisions-Cloud Foundation, Tanzu, software definition edge and application networking and security-and its boss, Raghu Raghuram, will serve as a technical adviser to CEO Tan.

With approval from Chinese regulators, Broadcom completed its $69 billion acquisition of the cloud computing company on November 22. (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 492.66 billion yuan).
