AMD's largest R & D center in the world opens in India

CTOnews.com, December 3, AMD's largest global design center has been established in India on November 28, with a capacity of about 3000 AMD engineers. In the future, it will focus on the design and development of semiconductor technology, including 3D stacking, artificial intelligence, machine learning and so on.

According to reports, the AMD Technostar R & D park in Bangalore is part of the $400m (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 2.856 billion yuan) Indian investment announced by the company at Semicon 2023, covering an area of 500000 square feet.

The campus will be "an excellent development center for leading products such as data center high-performance CPU, data center and gaming GPU, embedded device adaptive SoC and FPGA," AMD said in a press release.
