Shulou( Report--, December 4 (Xinhua)-- TDK, Apple's main battery supplier, will build a 180-acre plant in the Indian state of Haryana to produce battery cores for iPhone, according to Indian media Business Standard and Indian Minister of skills Development and Entrepreneurship Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

It is reported that the cells will be supplied to Xin Wanda, Apple's lithium battery assembler. At the same time, the factory will bring thousands of new jobs to the region and is one of the first factories to put workers' dormitories in the factory area-a long-term requirement of Apple.

However, neither TDK nor Apple responded to inquiries about cooperation.
