Xbox Spencer: Microsoft spends more than $1 billion a year on third-party games on Game Pass

CTOnews.com, December 4, Microsoft is currently fully implementing Game Pass services in Xbox to get more sustained cash flow. Recently, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer talked about Game Pass when he accepted foreign media Windows Central.

Spencer said Microsoft's Game Pass service is economically viable and profitable, and although Microsoft spends more than $1 billion a year on Game Pass's third-party games (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 7.14 billion yuan), it can still generate revenue for the company.

CTOnews.com reported earlier that this year's Microsoft Activision Blizzard trial documents revealed the cost Microsoft paid for Game Pass third-party games. Microsoft paid $5 million (currently about 36.5 million yuan) for "Baird Gate 3" and $12 million-15 million (currently about 87.6 million-109 million yuan) per month for "GTA 5".
