Withings launches ScanWatch Nova hybrid smartwatch: supports ECG measurement and sells for $600

CTOnews.com, Dec. 6 (Xinhua)-- Withings, a company dedicated to smart health devices, was acquired by Nokia in 2017 and launched a series of products with the Nokia logo, but Nokia didn't do well in this area and eventually ceded the smart health device field and returned Withings to its founder.

Withings has launched a ScanWatch Nova hybrid smartwatch (a quartz movement watch with a screen), available in black, blue and green, for $600 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 4296 yuan).

CTOnews.com learned that the ScanWatch Nova is the "deluxe version" of Withings's previous ScanWatch 2 watch, with a strap narrowed to 18mm and a stainless steel case with a sapphire glass mirror that lasts for 30 days and supports 10 meters of water resistance.

In terms of parameters, the watch can track and identify users'"more than 40 daily activities" and claims to provide users with "medical-grade ECG electrocardiograms" and can detect potential heart abnormalities, including atrial fibrillation, measure blood oxygen and track sleep.
