The physical version of the original reproduction of Contra on the Switch platform does not contain a cassette, only with the game download code.

CTOnews.com 's Contra: Operation Galuga will be available early next year on PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X.| S, Switch, Steam platform, support Chinese.

However, CTOnews.com found that Amazon's UK website showed that the Switch version of the physical box did not contain a cassette, only the download code for the game. Foreign media Nintendo Life media contacted game developer WayForward and confirmed that the game was released by Limited Run Games in North America, where it will be launched in the form of a physical cassette, but in Europe and other regions, the game will only come with a download code.

Foreign media also said that this is not the first time Konami has carried out such operations, in the previous Switch version of "Metal Equipment: Master Collection Vol.1", the physical version of the game does not include download cassette, for fans who want to buy games for collection, such operations are disappointing.
