CTOnews.com December 6, the AMD Auron 7040 series processors have introduced the AI engine with up to 10 TOPS of computing power. According to VideoCardz, AMD's Ruilong 8040 series, which will be released at 2 a.m. Tomorrow, will feature XDNA NPU,AI performance of up to 16 TOPS.

According to AMD, the AMD Auron 8040 series mobile processors can achieve up to 40% performance improvement in terms of generative AI under the XDNA NPU boost.

As CTOnews.com reported earlier, the CPU and GPU architecture of AMD Auron 8040 series mobile processors is still Zen4 and RDNA3, and the frequency is basically unchanged, so it can be regarded as the vest model of Ruilong 7040 series mobile processors. Laptops equipped with this series of mobile processors are expected to be launched in the first quarter of next year.
