CTOnews.com, December 8, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and Ningde Times signed a memorandum of cooperation, Ningde Times announced that it will set up an international R & D center in the Hong Kong Science Park, with a total investment of more than 1.2 billion Hong Kong dollars (CTOnews.com Note: about 1.099 billion yuan) to promote new energy technology innovation and promote Hong Kong's sustainable development.

In this cooperation, Ningde era will not only locate its R & D center in Hong Kong, but also set up an international headquarters and an international investment center in Hong Kong.

CTOnews.com noted that under the agreement, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation will support Ningde era's deep participation in Hong Kong's energy, transportation, industry, infrastructure and other key areas of business development and cooperation, and promote the green intelligent manufacturing of Hong Kong's new energy products and the investment and development of renewable energy.

According to the latest data released by SNE Research, a South Korean market research firm, the global installed capacity of power batteries reached 552.2 GWh in the first 10 months of 2023, an increase of 44 per cent over the same period last year. With 203.8 gigawatt-hours of loading and a year-on-year growth rate of 51.1%, Ningde era ranks first in the world with a market share of 36.9%.
