It is worth noting that there are rumors that the next generation of iPad Air will come in two sizes.

Apple's supply chain began shipping display panels for the larger 12.9-inch iPad Air this month, according to an article posted today by supply chain consulting firm (DSCC) CEO Ross Young on XDA-Developers. Young has a good track record of screen-related Apple rumors, so the information he shares today is likely to be accurate.

CTOnews.com noted that a number of sources, including Taiwan-based supply chain media DigiTimes, Apple analyst Guo Mingyi and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, have claimed that Apple plans to launch a 12.9-inch iPad Air. Earlier this week, Gurman said he expected the 12.9-inch iPad Air to be released around March 2024.

Apart from the larger display size, there are no other major design changes to the 12.9in iPad Air. The current iPad Air has a 10.9-inch display, and the model is expected to be updated around March next year.

The next generation of iPad Pro is expected to be equipped with OLED displays, so the price of the new phone is likely to be higher than the current iPad Pro. By insisting on a more cost-effective LCD panel, the price of the 12.9-inch iPad Air should be somewhere between the 10.9-inch iPad Air and the next 11-inch iPad Pro.
