Sources say Apple's 12.9in iPad Air screen was shipped this month and is expected to be released in March next year.

Apple's supply chain began shipping display panels for the larger 12.9-inch iPad Air this month, according to an article posted today by supply chain consulting firm (DSCC) CEO Ross Young on XDA-Developers. CTOnews.com noted that a number of sources, including Taiwan-based supply chain media DigiTimes, Apple analyst Guo Mingyi and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, have claimed that Apple plans to launch a 12.9-inch iPad Air. Earlier this week, Gurman said he expected the 12.9-inch iPad Air to be released around March 2024.

Apart from the larger display size, there are no other major design changes to the 12.9in iPad Air. The current iPad Air has a 10.9-inch display, and the model is expected to be updated around March next year.

The next generation of iPad Pro is expected to be equipped with OLED displays, so the price of the new phone is likely to be higher than the current iPad Pro.
