CTOnews.com, December 11, according to Reuters, Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Zhidong today met with Nvidia CEO Huang Jen-hoon, who is visiting Vietnam, and called on Nvidia to continue to invest in Vietnam.

Reported that the Vietnamese government hopes to deepen cooperation with Nvidia, with local enterprises to develop semiconductors, AI ecosystem. Among them, Vingroup, the largest local enterprise group, and Vietnam Telecom (Viettel), information technology group FPT, Internet company VNG and other "big companies" are expected to become partners to expand cooperation.

Nvidia will support talent training and digital infrastructure construction in Vietnam, said Huang Renxun, Pexels of Tuyuan. "Vietnam has long been a partner of Nvidia, and the company has millions of customers here."

Nguyen Chi Dung said the Vietnamese government wants Nvidia to help Vietnam set up a semiconductor incubator and the country has been preparing mechanisms and incentives to attract investment projects in the semiconductor and AI industries.

As reported by CTOnews.com last night, Huang Renxun held talks with Vietnamese Prime Minister Fan Mingzheng yesterday and confirmed the plan to build a semiconductor center in Vietnam. Huang Renxun said Nvidia hopes to establish a semiconductor base in Vietnam.

Reuters previously reported that Nvidia has invested about $250 million (currently about 1.795 billion yuan) in Vietnam.
