In the battery sector, the output of energy storage lithium batteries exceeded that of 38GWh from September to October, and the loading capacity of power lithium batteries for new energy vehicles was about 76GWh.
Export trade continued to grow, with the total export volume of lithium batteries reaching 82.46 billion yuan from September to October, an increase of 21% over the same period last year.
In the first-order material link, the output of cathode materials, negative electrode materials, diaphragms and electrolytes reached 430000 tons, 300000 tons, 2.7 billion square meters and 200000 tons respectively, with an increase of more than 25%. In the second-order material link, the output of lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide from September to October is about 81000 tons and 46000 tons respectively, and the average prices of battery-grade lithium carbonate and battery-grade lithium hydroxide (fine powder grade) are 178000 yuan / ton and 175000 yuan / ton respectively.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also pointed out that with the recent downward trend in the price of lithium batteries, the average prices of battery and battery-grade lithium salts have dropped by 50% and 60% respectively compared with those at the beginning of 2023.
