TrendForce: the revenue of the original enterprise-level SSD increased by 4.2% month-on-month in the third quarter.

Since the fourth quarter, some server OEM manufacturers have begun to purchase enterprise SSD, among which the purchase replenishment behavior initiated by Chinese e-commerce in order to meet the year-end promotion activities is the most obvious.

Overall, although enterprise SSD contract prices have not deviated from the downward trend in the third quarter, thanks to a 10 per cent month-on-month increase in global procurement demand, enterprise-class SSD revenue rose 4.2 per cent month-on-month to $1.56 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 11.201 billion yuan).

From the perspective of sub-manufacturers, Samsung Q3 enterprise SSD revenue reached $590 million (currently about 4.236 billion yuan) up 10.8% month-on-month. (including Solidigm) revenue of $389 million (currently about 2.793 billion yuan) increased by 4%, while Micron's $230 million (currently about 1.651 billion yuan) increased 9.3% month-on-month. Armor $210 million (currently about 1.508 billion yuan) up 2% month-on-month.

In addition, Western Digital's enterprise-level SSD revenue fell to $150 million (currently about 1.077 billion yuan) in the third quarter, down 18.3% from the previous quarter, with both volume and price falling.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, as the major manufacturers expand the scale of Q4 production reduction, quarterly contract prices have begun to rise, while there are a large number of urgent orders from server customers, in the case of rising volume and price, enterprise-level SSD revenue in the fourth quarter is expected to increase by more than 20%.
