CTOnews.com, December 13, Microsoft Edge browser recently updated the Copilot feature in the Android Canary version to generate summaries for subtitled Youtube videos. CTOnews.com noted that the feature was previously available on the desktop version of the Edge Canary channel and is now available on Android.

How to use Copilot to generate a video summary on an Edge Canary browser:

Make sure you are using the latest version of the Edge Canary browser (version 121.0.2271.0).

Visit edge://flags and locate and enable the "Video Copilot" option.

Restart the Edge browser.

Open the YouTube video with subtitles.

Click the bottom Copilot icon and click the button to summarize the video content.

Copilot will generate a short video summary and list the timestamps of important moments in the video for quick jump.

The video summary feature can quickly understand the content of long or complex videos, and can find specific information without watching the full video, saving time and data traffic.

Currently, the video summary feature is only available on the Canary channel of Edge Android, and Microsoft has not announced when it will be launched in Edge Android stable, or whether it supports other video platforms other than YouTube.
