According to foreign science and technology media Tweaktown, Kojima Studio has applied for three trademarks, namely Social Strand, Social Stealth and Social Scream Systems, since 2019.

Among them, the Social Strand System trademark applied for "death stranding" in 2019, which refers to more loose and indirect online cooperation in the game.

The remaining two trademarks are estimated to be related to "OD". CTOnews.com quoted the media as speculating that Social Stealth System is a new thriller system that allows players to avoid scary Cyclops.

Another Social Scream Systems, which is not yet clear how it works, may be using some kind of microphone feedback to interact with the game.
