According to an introduction video released by ▲ Nokia, which was transcribed by bilibili's third-party Nokia official press release, the CMX 500 drone airport has been certified by FCC in the United States and is expected to land in the relevant market in the near future.
It is reported that the drone airport supports 4G / 5G cellular network and is known as "out of the box", but drones need to be purchased separately. Nokia claims that "future business users can easily use this drone airport to deploy Nokia drone services."
CTOnews.com learned that the drone airport is compatible with Nokia's "Nokia Drone" 5G UAV launched in May this year. The UAV uses a six-axis design, has a 30x optical zoom camera, and can be equipped with modules such as "thermal imaging" and "lidar". It has a range of 50 minutes and can fly up to 30 kilometers.
