IGN announces Game of the year: "Legend of Zelda: tears of the Kingdom"

Broadly speaking, Kingdom Tears and Baldur's Gate 3 are not much different. Both games offer players so much freedom that we feel we can impose our will in both games.
But there was a moment early in Kingdom Tears that could serve as an imagination switch: Getting the Ultimate Hand was key to the entire game philosophy of Kingdom Tears. Suddenly, the answer to puzzles is more than just finding the right color combination or finding the right switch. The answers to all the puzzles in Tears of the Kingdom are in the forests, caves, sky and abyss surrounding Hailar.
It would be wrong to say that Kingdom Tears is just a copy of Breath of the Wild, because it makes Breath of the Wild seem more like a luxury test of Kingdom Tears. Shigeru Miyamoto once said when creating the Zelda series that he was inspired by his exploration of the forests and caves of Japan as a young man. Thirty-seven years later, that dream of exploration seems to have come true.
In fact, the opening of Tears of the Kingdom is the best interpretation of this original mission. Once the four main "left nau" abilities are acquired, Link jumps from the ledge and directly onto the sea laru, like a bird pushed off the ledge to fly. Since then, the game has really been in our hands, playing how we want to play, going wherever we want. The adventure begins with us and ends with us.
That's why The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is IGN's best game of 2023.
