CTOnews.com previously reported that "Red Pig" landed in the all-China Arts Federation special-line cinema on November 17, with a cumulative box office of more than 20 million, with a Douban score of 8.6 points and 4 and 5 stars accounting for 85.8%.

Produced by Studio Ghibli and directed by MiyazakiHayao, Red Pig, dubbed by Koichiro Moriyama, Moriko Kato, Akio Otsuka and Mingmei Okamura, was first released in Japan in 1992.

The film, adapted from MiyazakiHayao's cartoon "the Age of Airboats," tells the story of Polluk Rosen, the ace pilot of the Italian Air Force, who was enchanted into a pig. After that, he became a bounty hunter, fighting air robbers and protecting the people around him.

Synopsis:

Rosen was the ace pilot of the Italian Air Force in World War I, but was enchanted into a pig. Although he became a pig, Rosen continued his old business as a bounty hunter, specializing in fighting air robbers who did evil in the airspace of the Adriatic Sea. The Red Pig Man was famous for a moment, which frightened the robbers.

In order to deal with Rosen, the bandits hired the super pilot Kakis. Kakis shot down Rosen when his engine broke down in the showdown. When Rosen took the plane to his old friend Bicrol for repairs, he met Bicklow's granddaughter, Theo. Fio helped Rosen fix the plane, and the two soared into the blue sky again to deal with the air robbers.

Then Kakis appeared, and he fell in love with Fio at first sight. In order to fight for the love of Fio, Kakis proposed a duel to Rosen. So the two men bathed in blood and blue again.
