3DMark Steel Nomad graphics card benchmark will be launched in the first quarter of next year to replace Time Spy

CTOnews.com, December 20 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-- UL Solutions announced today that it will introduce a new Steel Nomad test project into 3DMark and provide it to existing users free of charge from the first quarter of 2024.

According to reports, Time Spy, launched in 2016, is a widely used non-ray tracing benchmark. The new Steel Nomad and Steel Nomad Light benchmarks will replace Time Spy.

Steel Nomad can be used to test the non-raytraced gaming performance of Windows, macOS and Linux high-performance devices. The Steel Nomad Light is designed to test lightweight devices, such as Windows notebooks, Windows-on-Arm devices, Apple M-series chip products, iOS and Android devices.

3DMark Steel Nomad will be launched on Windows and Windows-on-Arm platforms in the first quarter of 2024. MacOS, Steel Nomad / Light on Linux and Steel Nomad Light on Android and iOS will be released later in 2024.
