January 5, 2022: OLED has finally ushered in a technology upgrade, and it has gone out of the paper, and some manufacturers have begun to launch products with QD-OLED screens.

At this CES conference, Sony's flagship Bravia XR A95K TV launched the QD-OLED (Quantum Dot Organic Light emitting Diode) panel, which is made by Samsung monitors. It will come in 65-inch and 55-inch sizes, both with a 4K resolution.

QD-OLED aims to combine the best features of OLED (perfect black, infinite contrast, etc.) with the advantages of quantum dot LED televisions, such as improved brightness and more vivid color reproduction at higher brightness levels. Sony claims that the QD-OLED can increase the brightness of colors by 200% compared with traditional televisions.

QD-OLED does not eliminate the possibility of burning, but it is hoped that these panels will show a longer overall life than existing OLED TVs, because the pixels are not very intense. Samsung display is using three layers of blue OLED material for each pixel, which can maintain its life.
