While Samsung doesn't plan to unveil its new foldable smartphone in a few months, we've learned about the design of the next generation of Galaxy Z Flip 4, the manufacturer's iconic flip smartphone.

After announcing the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in advance, whistleblower OnLeaks has now unveiled another Samsung collapsible smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip 4. In fact, OnLeaks has released a new rendering that shows the next generation of Galaxy Z Flip 4. From an angle, it is confirmed that the device is not much different from its predecessor, Galaxy Z Flip 3, in 2021.

At first glance, it may be difficult to distinguish between the two Samsung smartphones because their designs are similar. OnLeaks announced that only smartphones vary slightly in size from one model to another. The size of the new model is expected to be 165.1 x 71.9 x 7.2mm, while its predecessor is 166x 72.2mm. Therefore, like Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4 should be more compact, but thicker because of the new display. It is also expected to lose a little weight.

Although the design is almost the same, it is mainly the internal components that will be different. From previous leaks, we know that Galaxy Z Flip 4 should run the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 + chip from Qualcomm; therefore, it will be more powerful than Samsung's high-end Galaxy S22 Ultra.

In addition, smartphones should be equipped with slightly larger batteries this year. The battery can reach 3700 mAh, compared with last year's 3300 mAh model. This small increase may not allow the smartphone to correct its low autonomy; its biggest flaw, but any improvement is good.
