Google officially closes 4 ROOT loopholes in Android: affecting 900 million Qualcomm devices

In early August, Check Point, an information security research company, reported four vulnerabilities in Qualcomm's Android phones, collectively known as Quadrooter, affecting more than 900m phones and tablets.

The company stressed that hackers can trick users into installing malicious applications without asking for any special permissions. After the application is installed, the hacker can gain root privileges and then take full control of the affected Android devices, including data and hardware, such as cameras and microphones.

Now, Google has officially released a monthly security update to fix all the vulnerabilities.

Currently, BlackBerry, Samsung and LG are strictly involved in Google's monthly security updates, and their son Nexus series, Moto and HTC have all withdrawn from the program, so there is no clear timetable for fixing it.
