Android Studio 3.1 stable version has been released, focusing on product quality and app development efficiency improvements. Android Studio 3.1 adds a C++ performance analyzer to help solve performance bottlenecks in app code. For apps using Room or SQLite databases, added better code editor support to help create SQL tables and query statements. In addition, better lint support has been added to the Kotlin code, and the Android emulator with Quick Boot has been updated to speed up testing.

Specifically:

Kotlin Lint Checks -Enhanced Lint code quality checks, which can be run from the gradlew lint command line.

Database Code Editing â € "It's easier to edit embedded SQL / Room database code in Android projects.

D8 Dex Compiler -D8 is now the default dex compiler in Android Studio 3.1.

System Images and Frameless Device Skins - Android Emulator now supports API 24 (Nougat)- API 27 (Oreo) Google Play Store and Google API A borderless mode was added to help test devices with 18:9 screen ratios.

­ Optimize

C++ CPU Profiling -Added C++ Code Performance Analyzer

Network Profiler Updates: Threads & Network Request -Added Network Threads view to examine multithreaded network traffic and added a new Network Requests tab to gain insight into network requests over time.
