New features and devices drive Apple's iOS 9 penetration to 84%
iOS 9
According to 9to5Mac, Apple disclosed this week that 84% of active iOS devices were running iOS 9 as of April 18. As with previous versions, penetration of iOS 9 will peak at about 90 per cent, given that iOS 10 will be released in June (with increased internal testing).
iOS 9 penetration is up 5 percentage points from last month, a considerable increase. The reason for the significant increase in iOS 9 penetration may be the introduction of new features such as Night Shift and Touch ID Notes.

in addition, the release of iPhone SE and 9.7in iPad Pro has also driven the growth of iOS 9 penetration, as both products come pre-loaded with iOS 9.3s.
Apple is expected to release a new version of iOS-- on WWDC. It is not clear whether it will be called iOS 10 or iOS X. 9to5Mac statistics show that traffic from iOS 10 devices has gradually increased over the past two months, indicating that Apple has stepped up testing of iOS 10 ahead of the WWDC.
there are few rumors about the new features of iOS, and the Apple Pay mobile payment platform it includes may introduce P2P features. In addition, it may allow users to hide pre-installed applications, and App Store's application discovery capabilities will also be improved. (compiler / Frost Leaf)
