Wang Shoujun, president of the China Nuclear Society and chairman of the conference, said that China is expected to further accelerate the expansion of the installed capacity between 2022 and 2025, maintaining the approved start-up pace of 6 to 8 nuclear power units a year, with an installed capacity of about 7000 million kilowatts in 2025. By 2035, China's nuclear power will account for 10% of the total electricity generation.

In April this year, the first overseas project of Hualong No. 1 in China, two units were fully completed and put into operation. At present, units Fuqing 5 and 6 of Hualong 1 domestic demonstration project and Karachi 2 units of overseas demonstration project have been put into commercial operation one after another.
