CTOnews.com Microsoft will mark OneDrive's 15th anniversary with a new OneDrive Home landing page that will make it easier for users to focus on work. When you first open OneDrive, instead of going to the My Files tab, you'll find a dashboard similar to the new Home home page in the online version of Office.

Like the Office Web app, the OneDrive Home home page contains a list of files organized by last accessed time. Above the list are filters that sort documents by Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF file types.

There's also a new Activity column to the right of the Owner file that tells when someone posts a comment,@ mentions another user, or assigns a task in a shared document. To the left of the Home view, Microsoft has added a new Quick Access section where users can find and pin down the most frequently visited spaces (just like on Windows).

However, those changes haven't taken effect yet-Microsoft says OneDrive Home will launch "in the coming months." From the outside, the new Home page can act as a central hub to help users stay organized when collaborating remotely.

In addition to the OneDrive Web app, Microsoft is also rolling out the photo stories feature of the OneDrive mobile app to Australia users. The feature won't reach users in the U.S. or elsewhere until later this year.
