CTOnews.com August 10 news, MediaTek today (10) released the latest monthly results, although a month-on-month decrease of nearly 20%, but still a record high for the same period over the years.

MediaTek's July sales were NT $40.89 billion, and its July revenue increased by 1.31%. Cumulative sales in the first seven months reached NT $339.331 billion, an increase of 23.82% over the same period last year.

It is reported that MediaTek's consolidated revenue in June was NT $51.029 billion, down 2 per cent from May and 6.8 per cent from the same period in 2021, a new high for the same period in a single month. Consolidated revenue in the first six months of 2022 was NT $298.44 billion, an increase of 27.7% over the same period in 2021 and a record high for the same period.

MediaTek said at the legal conference a few days ago that the annual growth rate will drop from the original estimate of 20% to 10-digit (high-teens) percentage, about 17% to 19%, while the gross profit margin will remain unchanged at 48% to 50%.

CTOnews.com has reported that MediaTek Cai Lixing mentioned that Qualcomm inflation in recent months has affected consumer confidence, and overall economic challenges have increased market demand uncertainty and led to a decline in chip demand. MediaTek has observed that customers and their sales channels have begun to actively adjust their inventory, which is expected to continue in the next two to three quarters. In such an environment, MediaTek will carefully manage inventory, costs and expenses.
