Intel Announces 12th Generation Core PS Series, LGA packaged Mobile processor

CTOnews.com August 22, not long ago, Intel released the 12-generation Core HX series of processors, porting desktop processors to mobile. Now, Intel has unveiled a 12-generation core PS series of processors that have migrated mobile processors to the desktop.

According to reports, this series of processors are used in Internet of things applications, including 12-generation Core H and U series models, but use LGA packaging.

CTOnews.com learned that the 45W models of the Alder Lake PS family of processors range from 8-core i3-12300HL processors to 14-core i7-12800HL processors and 15W models from 5-core Cy Yang 7305L to 10-core i7-1265UL.

Intel said that this series of processors combines the SOC design of 12-generation mobile processing, high-specification kernel display, and the LGA encapsulation flexibility of 12-generation desktop processors, resulting in a four-fold increase in graphics processing speed and a 6.6-fold improvement in AI reasoning performance compared with the previous generation of Internet of things SoC.
