Apple is about to pay about 652 million yuan to settle a class action lawsuit over AppleCare refurbished equipment.

Last year Apple agreed to settle the lawsuit for $95 million (about 652 million yuan), which will be paid soon.

The case manager began to collect customer information as early as January and the settlement plan was approved in April. Now that everything is ready, Apple will pay soon, and users who receive compensation have begun to receive emails one after another.

One client received an email saying he could get $28.90 (about 198.25 yuan) in reparations. By August 30, 2022, this user will receive an email with a link that can be collected by click, and will be available until November 28.

Users who purchase AppleCare Protection Plan or AppleCare + from July 20, 2012 to September 30, 2021 and receive refurbished replacement equipment will be reimbursed.

Apple stated in the terms that components or products that are new or refurbished and are comparable to the new product in performance and reliability can be compensated to the maintenance user, but the plaintiff believes that the refurbished equipment is not as good as the new equipment in terms of performance and reliability.
