CTOnews.com August 26 news, SMIC today issued an interim results announcement for 2022: revenue for the first half of the year reached US $3.745 billion, up 53% from the same period last year; net profit was US $960 million, up 13.6% from the same period last year.

According to official news, SMIC has a comprehensive integrated integrated IC wafer foundry core technology system, which can effectively help customers reduce costs and shorten the time to market. SMIC has successfully developed a variety of technology nodes from 0.35um to FinFET, which are mainly used in logical process technology platform and characteristic process technology platform.

In the first half of 2022, multiple platforms were developed as planned, steadily introduced to customers, and the goal of product diversification was being achieved. During the reporting period, the first phase of the 55nm BCD platform has been completed and entered small batch trial production.

CTOnews.com learned that SMIC, headquartered in Shanghai, China, has a global manufacturing and service base, with three 8-wafer fab and three 12-wafer fab in Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin and Shenzhen, and one 12-wafer fab under construction in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen.
