CTOnews.com, Aug. 27 (Xinhua)-- Netflix plans to charge $7 to $9 for the upcoming advertising package, according to Bloomberg. Currently, Netflix plans to offer a 480p streaming service at a minimum price of $9.99 a month in the United States.

Netflix also has a 1080p streaming service for $15.49 (about 106.57 yuan) per month and a 4K streaming service for $19.99 (about 137.53 yuan) per month. The low-cost ad package is for users who don't mind advertising and don't want to pay more than $9.99 for Netflix standard subscriptions.

CTOnews.com learned that advertisements will be shown before and during TV shows and movies. Netflix plans to bring in about 4 minutes of advertising per hour, which will be shorter than 10 to 20 minutes per hour for cable companies. Users cannot skip ads or enter playback control when playing ads, but Netflix wants to limit ad positioning to ensure that ads are not overly repetitive.

In addition, there will be more restrictions with advertising packages, and Netflix does not plan to allow subscribers to the program to download TV shows and movies for offline viewing. Netflix aims to launch more affordable programs in some markets by the end of this year, but full roll-out may not be until 2023.
