Sources say Apple is promoting "Project Irvine": an evolutionary version of pre-stage scheduling, which is expected to be launched in iPadOS 17

Twitter user Majin Bu tweeted today that there is news that Apple is promoting "Project Irvine", an evolutionary version of pre-stage scheduling and will be launched in iPadOS 17 next year, wccftech reported today. Reported that "Project Irvine" may remove the pre-stage scheduling restrictions on iPad hardware, so that all iPad can experience the new multitasking management.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, Federico Viticci, founder and editor-in-chief of MacStories and a prominent member of the Apple community, outlined his disappointment with iPad's pre-stage scheduling in a Twitter post posted in the middle of this month. Viticci said the built-in design decisions for front-end scheduling were "fundamentally wrong", arguing that the feature was unstable, difficult to use, and that there were user interface failures in the experience.

"if front-end scheduling is the future of iPadOS for professional users, I hope Apple understands not to act in haste," Viticci said. "We have been waiting for this for several years, but it would be better to launch it in the spring of 2023." At the same time, he suggested that Apple delay the release of front-end scheduling and reconsider its approach. If Apple does launch "Project Irvine", it may improve the user multitasking experience.
