CTOnews.com, August 31, Meta announced that its Facebook Gaming game live streaming app is shutting down. The team posted a message in the Facebook Gaming app to remind users and players that from October 28, the application will no longer support iOS and Android platforms.

Although Facebook Gaming apps will be removed from Google Play Store and Apple's App Store store, this is not the end of Facebook Gaming. The Facebook Gaming team pointed out:

"despite the announcement, our mission of connecting players, fans and creators to their favorite games has not changed, and when users visit Gaming in the Facebook app, they can still find games, streaming and groups."

Meta does not provide any reasons for shutting down the Facebook Gaming application, but after the announcement within the application is a link to the game section of the Facebook application. CTOnews.com learned that Meta has recently been busy improving the Facebook application experience and increasing engagement, testing new features to improve the user experience, and introducing new ways to make money for content creators.

The Facebook Gaming team's message also includes links that allow users to download search data from their game apps.
