Giant Network: revenue of 1.064 billion yuan in the first half of the year, mobile game "original Journey" scheduled for September 21

According to the report, the operating income of Giant Network during the reporting period was 1.064 billion yuan, an increase of 2.71 percent over the same period last year; the net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was 499 million yuan, down 13.02 percent from the same period last year; and the net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was 591 million yuan, an increase of 23.01 percent over the same period last year.

The report points out that since the original Journey entered the player-oriented testing period at the end of 2021, it has opened a total of 12 test areas. Giant Network confirmed on the same day that the "original journey" has been scheduled to go online on September 21.

After going public in 2008, he retreated to the second line because of the performance pressure of listed companies, and the R & D team focused more on revenue than gameplay, resulting in a lack of player friendliness.

Today, Shi Yuzhu's requirement for the "original journey" is to devote 99% of his energy to gameplay, "to make players feel fun, this is the foundation."
