According to the research institute's report, Samsung Electronics' NAND flash memory sales in the second quarter were $5.98 billion, down 5.4% from the previous quarter, and its share also fell to 33% from 35.3% in the previous quarter.

Although Samsung Electronics' sales of NAND flash memory declined month-on-month in the second quarter and its share also decreased, its market share of nearly 1/3 is still much higher than that of other manufacturers.

Second only to Samsung Electronics is SK Hynix. They and Solidigm, which was founded after the acquisition of Intel's NAND flash business, had sales of US $3.615 billion in the second quarter, an increase of 12.1% from the previous quarter. They also overtook the armor to become the second largest NAND flash memory manufacturer in the second quarter, with a market share of 19.9% from 18%.

The sales of Armor NAND Flash in the second quarter was $2.832 billion, down 16.3% from the previous quarter, and its share fell from 18.9% to 15.6%. The fourth largest in sales was Western Digital, which increased by 7% to 13.2%, up 7% from the previous quarter to $2.4 billion in the second quarter. Micron NAND flash had sales of $2.288 billion in the second quarter, up 16.9% from a year earlier, and its market share reached 12.6%, up from 10.9% in the previous quarter.
