Car sales in August were 217838, up 78.02% from the same period last year, of which 30443 were new energy vehicles, up 137.61% from the same period last year.

By the end of August this year, GAC GROUP had produced a total of 171461 new energy vehicles this year, up 127.59 percent from the 75338 produced last year. GAC GROUP sold a total of 170842 new energy vehicles this year, up 124.00% from the 76269 sold last year.

At the 2022 International Forum on the Development of China Automotive Industry (Teda) on September 3, Feng Xingya, general manager of GAC GROUP, said that GAC GROUP will further increase the proportion of new energy vehicles and energy-efficient vehicles connected with the Intelligent Network. It is planned to achieve 50% of self-branded new energy sales by 2025, and this plan is expected to be realized ahead of schedule. By 2030, the new energy vehicles of Jianguang Automobile Group will account for 50%.

At the same time, GAC GROUP's board of directors agreed to participate in the construction of the battery production base project of Guangzhou Juwan Technology and Research Co., Ltd., as well as the battery cell, module and PACK system for mass production of extremely fast rechargeable power batteries.
