The disaster touched the hearts of the people all over the country, and ideal car donated 5 million yuan to the Sichuan Charity Federation to support emergency rescue, life relief and post-disaster reconstruction in Ganzi Luding County, Shimian County, Ya'an City and surrounding disaster-stricken areas. CTOnews.com learned that a magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province (29.59N, 102.08 E) 12:52 on September 5, 2022, with a focal depth of 16 km. The earthquake was felt obviously in Chengdu, and was felt in Ganzi, Aba, Liangshan, Ya'an and other places. As of 21:00 on September 6, the "9 ·5" Luding magnitude 6.8 earthquake in Sichuan had killed 34 people, injured 89 and left 12 missing in Ya'an. Among them, 34 people were killed in Shimian County (7 in Xinmin Township, 21 in Wanggangping Township and 6 in Caoke Township), 84 were injured (3 critically, 6 seriously and 75 slightly), 12 were missing (10 in Wanggangping Township and 2 in Caoke Township), and 5 people were injured in Hanyuan County (1 seriously injured and 4 slightly injured). The quake has killed 38 people in Ganzi, Sichuan, according to a news conference at the site of the earthquake on September 6. Taken together, the earthquake has killed a total of 72 people in Ganzi and Ya'an, Sichuan.
