Kingston launches new NV2 solid state drive: upgrade PCIe 4.0, up to 2TB optional

The SSD uses the M.2 2280 standard form factor and has a size of 22 x 80 mm, which is upgraded to the PCIe 2280 x4 protocol compared to the NV1.

CTOnews.com has learned that 250GB hard drives can reach 3000MB/s (sequential read) and 1300MB/s (write), 500GB and 1TB models can reach 3500MB/s and 2100MB/s, and 2TB models can reach 3500MB/s and 2800MB/s, supporting operating temperatures of 0 to 70 °C.

According to reports, the NV2 series nominal write durability is 80 / 160320 / 640TBW respectively, but the company did not disclose the exact combination of master and flash memory. According to the previous revelations, it should be the Phison E19T DRAMless with 3D QLC NAND flash memory.

Referring to the configuration of the NV1 series, NV2 also adopted a cacheless scheme, and officials said it would provide it with a three-year limited warranty, but pricing and listing information had not yet been released.
